NHK announces guest judges and special performances for “Kohaku Uta Gassen”
NHK’s annual music show, Kohaku Uta Gassen will air live on New Year’s Eve. NHK has announced more details on the guest judges and special performances.
There will be 10 guest judges this year.

Below will the special performances for this year’s Kohaku!
Character Kohaku - Popular characters for kids will make appearance. For white team, “Kaibutsu-kun (=Ohno Satoshi)” will perform “Yukai Tsu-kai Kaibutsu-kun“, and Kumakura Kazuo & the folklore creatures will perform a theme song of anime “GeGeGe no Kitaro.” For red team, cast members of kids’ show, “Okaasan to Issho” will perform “Dokonokonokinoko“, and Mizuki Nana & AKB48 will perform “Alright! Heartcatch Pretty Cure.” ※ This corner’s judge will be taken by Kohaku’s official character “Uta♪Ukki”
Ge Ge Ge no Nyobo’s cast members to cheer for Matsushita Nao - Popular actress, Matsushita Nao will be a host for the read team this year, and the cast members (Mukai Osamu, Ohsugi Ren, and Kotegawa Yuko) of previous NHK morning drama “Ge Ge Ge no Nyobo” which Matsushita starred in, will come out on the show to cheer for Matsushita.
Cast members of “Teppan” to cheer for Kawanaka Miyuki - Ongoing NHK morning drama “Teppan”s cast members, Takimoto Miori, Fuji Junko, and Akai Hidekazu will play “Teppan dance” for Kawanaka Miyuki’s performance.
Comedian duo, W Colon’s “Nezucchi” to show “Kohaku Nazo-kake” - Popular comedian duo, W Colon’s “Nezucchi” to perform “Nazo-kake” with the theme realated to Kohaku.
Baseball player, Tanaka Masahiro to cheer for FUNKY MONKEY BABYS - The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles’s Tanaka Masahiro who stared in FUNKY MONKEY BABYS’ PV and cover jacket for “Ato Hitotsu” will make appearance, and cheer for them.
Ayanokoji Kimimaro to arouse the audience - Ayanokoji Kimimaro who is famous for the comic chat, will make appearance, and introduce Japanese Enka.
Haruna Ai to cheer for Nakamura Mitsuko - A transsexual talent, Haruna Ai will perform “Kawachi Otoko-bushi” for Nakamura Mitsuko.
All artists to perform Kohaku’s theme song together - Kohaku’s theme song “Uta no Chikara” which the lyrics were made based on the viewers’ applications, and composed by Hisaishi Joe, will be performed by all the artists.
