Title: Try And Find Me
Pairings: Akame
Fandoms: JE, Gundam Wing and Weiß Kreuz
Summary: Jin cheated and Kame had enough. He decided to leave show business -- in extension, Jin -- for good but Johnny-san didn’t allow that to happen. As an alternative, Johnny offered Kame an indefinite leave. Kame accepts the offer but with conditions involved: name change, complete privacy, and no demand for his return. On his way to living his new identity, he gets in an accident and finds himself with assassins, psychics and good terrorists with no recollection of who he was.
Chapter Five
“This is none of your concern, Takizawa-kun.” Johnny-san’s voice rose in anger, but Tackey wasn’t giving in to fear.
“Remember when you told me to take care of my juniors? Then this is it, I am doing as you had asked. Please tell me where Kame is.”
“I don’t have to tell you anything! Kamenashi-kun requested that no one, including me, disturb him while on leave.”
“That can’t be right. This isn’t Kame’s character. He wouldn’t leave without telling anybody where he’s going.”
“Yeah, well he already did. Please child, let him have a peaceful timeout from all of these. He will come back once he’s ready.”
“But...”
“Tackey, this is enough.” Tsubasa intervened. “I’m really sorry about this. It was I who encouraged Tackey to approach you on this matter.”
“I know that you also want to learn of his whereabouts, and you just used this idiot here to inquire.” Johnny-san gave Tsubasa a soft smile. “Please, do not worry about him.”
“Don’t get me wrong. This doesn’t stop us from finding where he went.” Tsubasa wasn’t about to let Johnny think that they’re giving up. “Since you won’t tell us anything, we will investigate on this by ourselves.”
Johnny shook his head. “YOU-tachi are still as incorrigible as you where eight years ago.” He said, referring to the time when the duo pressured him into allowing them to debut together. “Alright, if you are able to trace his whereabouts, I would be more than willing to divulge the reason what he’s doing there.”
“What is the catch here?” Tackey inquired hesitantly.
“No catch... just that I’ll probably be amused with your futile efforts of finding him.”
“You’re really a sadist, aren’t you, Johnny-san?” Tsubasa affirmed, not amused at how Johnny was acting towards them.
“I am, and that’s what makes this company thrive.” Johnny-san winked. “Now leave! I have so many things to do.” He shooed the two out of his office.
Little did he know that Kazuya would be found later that night; well, not Kazuya... but Ryuu.
-----
Ryuu stared blankly at the ceiling. It feels as if he has forgotten something, but he couldn’t point a finger as to what that was. A knock on his door broke him out of his reverie. “Yeah?” He weakly called out.
“Can I come in?”
Ryuu identified the person to be Nagi. “Yeah you can.” He smiled.
The younger boy hesitantly came inside his room. “Everyone, except you and Schu, will be on mission tonight.” He said, handing Ryuu a tray with a plate of home baked cookies and a glass of lemonade.
“I know, Duo told me. It’s about some big prostitution ring, right?” Ryuu gladly took the tray and set it to the bedside table. He then took a piece of cookie, broke it in half and handed Nagi the other half.
Nagi stiffly nodded as he took the offered cookie piece. “Thanks.” He said, chewing on it. As always, Trowa’s baked goodies came unparalleled to those sold in groceries or commercial bakeries.
Ryuu frowned, trying to figure out the younger boy. He knew Nagi didn’t like dealing with these types of cases. After all, Nagi was once a victim of a kidnapping case that involved auctioning of children to pedophiles. “I can take over for you, if you want.” He thoughtfully offered.
Nagi shook his head. “No, I will partake on this mission. You stay here and help Schu with Schwarz.”
“You sure?”
“Yes. You’re the only qualified bartender next to Schu... so he needs you to tend to the drinks, while he manages the floor and the kitchen. In addition, do I really have to remind you of the accident this morning? You’re in no condition to be on field! Plus, you’re more of our home base personnel, than being a field agent anyways.”
Ryuu pouted. “One of these days I will convince you all to give me a field assignment!”
“Ha, you can always try you know. Then again, you already know how hard it can be to change Heero’s opinion on this matter!” Nagi smirked.
Ryuu visible sulked. “Damn it, why do you always have to spoil a good plan by mentioning Heero’s name.” In this lifetime, Ryuu can definitely swear that Heero was the toughest to convince.
Nagi laughed and left the sulking Ryuu to his own devices. After all, it was high time for him to start prepping for the mission. “Sleep because you’ll need it. Schwarz will be packed tonight.”
-----
“So this is the club you were bragging to us... huh?” Ueda eyed the vandalized entrance to Schwarz with distain. “This doesn’t look like a very friendly place.” He added, worrying that somebody would come out of the establishment and proceed to beat the hell out of them.
“Yeah, it does look like that from the outside.” Koki giggled. “But trust me the inside is so much welcoming.” He said, opening the entrance to lead the others inside Schwarz.
With Ueda sighing, everyone entered the club.
“This is good! Nobody’s around yet.” Koki was thrilled to get the place for himself, even just for a while.
“Hey Koki!” A man with a very fiery hair came out of the dirty kitchen. “You’re too early for the night, man!”
Koki looked sheepish. “Sorry about that. We need to be up early tomorrow, so we came before the real action takes place. Hope that’s cool with you?”
“Yeah, that’s no problem!” The man gave the other three a look. “They’re new here, aren’t they?”
Koki nodded. “They’re my friends; Junno, Maru and Tatchan.” He said, gesturing to each as he introduced them. “And this is Luke, one of the owners of this bar.”
Luke, aka Schuldig, smiled and offered his hand to the three men. “Nice meeting you.” He squirmed a little when he shook hands with the man Koki referred as Tatchan.
‘An empath like Quatre, huh?’ He mused. ‘I’m glad he’s untrained... else he’ll get a good feel out of Ryuu-kun.’
Just then, an image of Ryuu flashed from Maru’s mind just when Schuldig shook hands with the man.
‘Sorry Kame... we’re out here partying instead of worrying how to find you...’ The reserved man thought, giving a forced smile to Schuldig.
‘Shit. Don’t tell me these are his band mates?’ Schuldig swore in his mind. He immediately opened a link to contact his teammate Brad, the one with the gift of premonition. ‘Brad, you fucktard! There’s a problem here in Schwarz! I thought you said there wouldn’t be any complications with Ryuu joining the group! Did you not see this one coming? He gritted his teeth as he led the group to the bar. Thankfully, Koki and his friends didn’t notice the change in his attitude.
Brad chuckled over the mental line. ‘I did see it; I didn’t tell you about it because they won’t suspect anything. At the end of the night, they will all assume that Ryuu is just someone who holds a strong resemblance to their band mate, nothing special so don’t panic over this little matter.’
‘Are you sure? You’re not all that omniscient, Brad. I don’t want them to find Ryuu this fast. All my hard work with his memory would all go down the drain.’
‘I’m sure. I’ve already checked all the paths to this chance meeting of theirs, and nothing shows up as a threat to his real identity being discovered.' The American assured.
‘Alright.., if you’re that sure... sorry for cursing you.’
‘I’m already used to your foul mouth and mind, Lukas. Now, don’t bother us for the night. We are about to enter the location.’
‘Acknowledged. Good luck.’ With that, Schuldig closed the mental line he had with Brad, and opened a brand new one with Ryuu. ‘Hey kiddo, are you ready to come down? An early wave of customers is waiting for your service.’
‘I’ll be down in a sec. I don’t understand why I have to wear a suit to serve drinks!’
Schuldig smirked. He can almost see that pout on Ryuu’s face when he said that. ‘Yeah, well you have to endure it because that’s the standard uniform for most bartenders.’
But you don’t wear a suit when bartending!’
Schuldig just hummed, and it irritated Ryuu to no end. ‘Oh, I’m also wearing the same thing tonight. Which come to think of it, is unfair since I won’t be manning the bar?’
‘No, you’re not wearing a suit! Something tells me you’re wearing jeans.’ Ryuu muttered.
The German snickered because Ryuu got it correct. He cut the mental connection with Ryuu so that he would be able to address their first set of customers for the night. “Hey, I’m sorry but I still have to prep the kitchen. The barman for the night will be down in a sec. We didn’t expect customers to be early so he’s taking his sweet time upstairs.”
Koki saluted at Schuldig. “No problem, Luke.”
Schuldig smiled and left them there.
T-TUN followed Luke’s figure entering a door that had a sign that said ‘STAFF ONLY’. Seconds later, they heard a very familiar voice ranting at who they presume to be Luke.
“Ha! I knew you were wearing jeans! You really just want me to choke to my death with this damned bow tie!”
T-TUN turned to each other.
“Isn’t that Kame’s voice?” Junno’s eyes were wide.
“You’re exaggerating, kitten. I love you too much to let you die choked by your bowtie! Now shoo! You have customers.” They heard Schu say amusedly.
Ueda held his breath. He couldn’t be wrong with this gut feeling. That was Kame’s voice!
“I’m sorry to have kept you waiting.” Ryuu entered the club area with his head bowed down to apologize.
“Uh...” Maru started. “It’s okay. You don’t have to be sorry.”
Ryuu smiled and raised his head.
“Kame! It really is you!” Was the joined reaction of T-TUN.

A/N: Dun dun dun dun! Thus, the plot thickens. Or at least, that’s what I’m aiming for! (^_~)v
So how did you like the chapter? Hope it isn’t too... well, weird. I’ve been pushing myself so hard to write updates because my affinity for Akame died when Jin left the group... ^^;; Don’t get me wrong, I still love Akame but I can’t seem to write them the way I like to write them.
Anyhow! I hope you enjoyed reading the update! If things go right with my writing, there’s a good chance that there’ll be updates every 2-3 days for the next three weeks! Hooray for Christmas breaks! XD
Please do leave a comment after reading this update because feedbacks are always a writer’s treasure!
