I was going to say the same thing about the lonely road. Also, is the other Blogger thing defunct? Just wondering if I should remove the bookmark from my blog folder. Facebook replaced most Twitter people I actually knew. Seems these fads change every time we finally get everyone in one spot.
To be fair, I've been rather neglectful here, too. Facebook eats up the time that LJ used to.
I don't like stand-alone blogs because they require me to open several separate websites.
Lazy? Yeah. But it's the internet.
Facebook and Twitter are more centric, but much more brief and fleeting by nature. Heck, I don't even know where my old FB status updates go. Vanished into the ethers?
Of course, none of this is a good replacement for good, old fashioned face time.
Sorry, that came out a lot snarkier than I intended it to. While I stand by the intent (that your objection about opening several websites is a weak one), I wasn't tactful about it.
You're right about the face time. :P We've talked, what, once in the past month?
But the brief and fleeting bit of facebook/twitter is why I use loudtwitter (though on private mode whenever I think of it), so I can still look back a year from now and get a glimpse of who/how I was.
Also, I still hate that Twitter has replaced LJ for a lot of my friends.
