Thank you! to whomever rec'd my Sirius fic to
Hogwarts_today.
I finally posted it at
sirius_loving. The basis of it is: Nymphadora asks Remus, "Tell me a story about Sirius." I completely indulged my fondness for Sirius as seen through Remus' eyes and let my imagination run with the tale.-->
What had begun as a harmless evening drizzle had turned into a full-blown storm by the time they rounded the corner. I also edited the
list of fics I've written and updated a
few of the rec's I've read recently.
Fic recs:
musefool posted her take on the Tam Lin or Tamlane Celtic myth.
The Odds of Faith in the Face of Doubt | HP | Remus/Sirius | PG | 1,400 words. Everyone has done this story. This one was odd enough to be different and fresh, with the inclusion of HP style magic.
I bought a nifty book of hat patterns to knit. However, upon closer examination, I think the book is done by a woman who knits the British way. The travelling or working end of the yarn is held in the left hand. It's giving me fits trying to figure out how she's doing a couple of crucial steps. Also, she starts the crown of the hat with a "wrap" -- wrapping the yarn around two db needles and knitting into it and increasing by "making" stiches. The making I get, it's the wrap that I don't. Anyone done this? I've always started hats from the brim up, not the crown down.
