knitting obsession
I think I'm seriously getting the knitting obsession. Even though I'm still such a beginner, yesterday, while browsing in the downtown "Anthropologie" store (way overpriced bohemian clothes and decor) all I could think was "ppffft!" I get how they made this! to all the sweaters.
BTW: the sweater coat is back apparently, but in a trimmer form: slim to the hips with a belt. Also, thinner scarves of longitudinal stripes are "in" according to the displays. hmm.. now I just need one of those really long circular needles.
*rubs hands together* There are so many wonderful stories to read today, I'm so lost as to when you all wrote what, but:

I'm happily reading pauraque's essay on Slughorn, (the Oxford don by whom the character was probably inspired, etc...) and Nyxfixx's bits on Remus and Sirius in NEWT potions class. I've got Dorothy Sayer's 1930's British don stuff from Gaudy Night in the back of my head.
