It's not often that the death of an actor affects me, the news of Lis Sladen's death makes me really sad.  Like so many Doctor Who fans, her Sarah Jane Smith was as much a part of my childhood as the Doctor himself.

Goodbye, and thank you for being our Sarah Jane for so many years.
