I wish it was that easy with mine. We have been having a severe case of, "I'm 15, and I'm gonna be an ass, just because I can".

Does she like necklaces? Because I'd be happy to make up a few in her favorite colors as rewards for you to use. Is she still enjoying the marudai? If so, I can easily send her more material to use with it.

Hmmm... just writing this made me think of something that mom used to do with us and with her students, and that several teachers used in elementary school.

We would do chores and extras to get chips (like poker chips only smaller), and could turn those chips in for stuff in the "store" ( a box of cool stuff mom kept on hand). regular chores usually got 1-2 chips extra stuff over and above our chores got an amount relative to what we had done...if it was a real big job, it was maybe even 8-10 chips. Maybe I can get that system to work with Av. Maybe I'll even add 2 chips for every 100% that comes home, and an extra 5 chips for every A at each reporting period. The only big thing with "aging it up" will be that stuff in the "store box" will be more expensive. That's what I get for having a gifted teen.
