Looks like the season 8 art discussion is becoming more widespread.

Be interesting to see how long this stays up before the mods  take it down for daring to be to critical.

I didn't see any shippyness, more of a complete lack of care from Giles. Something that does go against canon, again. Giles cared about Faith and even was proud of her ( ... )

"I would rate this comic around a low 4/10. The art is very bad on the inside. and the story is garbage. It is never going to bring in new fans and show fans wills start to leave as the appearent holes form the shows later season make new homes in this rather rushed and very uninspiring story."

i wish they would. But the comic buyers on the self-same people who seem to have the mentality, Joss did it, therefore it's good.

These are the sort of muppets who argue Buffy was a good leader because she won in Season 7. Never mind the logic errors that number in their hundreds....

I wish they would just accept that Joss has some wonderful skills as a writer primary amongst them able to create being characters we love or hate . But coherent storytelling or worldbuilding is not one of them thus he can be criticized. I don't think it is doing his talent any favours by keeping him in this cocoon.

Trouble is, all the interviews I see of the man, it seems he's just the same as his fans.

You are 100% right though. His world-building and storylining stink. He thinks that people will accept illogical happenings because he said they happened.

Unfortunately with the Browncoats he's right.

But his failings and unwillingness to address them are why projects aren't being green-lit.

That's even harsher than me and I thought I might be too harsh giving it a 5/10 so far.

My main pain with it is the execution again like with S6/7 there are some kernels of some really good ideas there that could lead somewhere interesting the problem being he is just going to lead us to the obvious place.

My main thing with posting this was I was amused at how quickly the link was pulled. There's a real attempt to spin this to say that all fans love the comics when I would say that at least 40-50% are disgruntled for various reasons some valid and some not but shielding the writer from this doesn't help us or him.
