I don't think you were being too blunt; no need to blame PMS (though that is always a good excuse :) ) You have some good points which makes sense to me.
Regarding the fiction you are right of course: It IS fiction, hence the long disclaimers... We pick the little bits from the RL person (hair color, holiday location, name of dog etc) and run with it - bending the info to how it suits our purpose in telling a story. This does not make it true and people's opinions or impressions of the RL persons shouldn't be based on their fictitious twins! This does seem to happen though - see other discussions in this thread (also all my knowledge of Viggo pretty much comes from fiction - which in reality means I have No knowledge of the real guy even though I feel I do!). Sometimes we project the 'qualities' of the character onto the RL person (and this might go some way to explaining why people tend to see Orli as a bit fragile and needing cuddles and protection - because his characters are often written this way but I don't really think his RL persona gives off this wipe... Of course I don't know if that is the case. Just speculating that it might have something to do with the hugging urge! Man, I'm waffling - hope some of this makes sense.
And regarding the Hug. I was just saying the other day (different post) that I wouldn't actually want to hug Orli in the GN show. I don't hug under such circumstances and don't want to 'win' a hug - I want to be hugged because the other person wants to do so. And, Orlando is after all a stranger I have never met - I don't hug on first meetings hehe. I'm a bit strange but at least it seems I'm not alone :) *points at you*
