Shameless Pimping Post!
Dear Friends-list.
Thanks so very much to those of you who nominated The Way We Are at this year’s slashy_oscars. Really, Thank You - it means a lot and I’m happy to say that it’s made it through to the voting round in several categories.
Also - HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to all the people on my f-list who also made the cut - I was pleased to see that it’s quite a few. YAY.
Now comes the shameless pimping part! (And Yes, I feel silly for doing it but I’m still going to…)
If you feel that TWWA deserves any of the awards then please go vote for me!
If you don’t think it should win…. Then hopefully you will still vote in support of the fandom and other writers ☺
TWWA is nominated for:
- Best Angst/Drama.
- Best Fight/Break-up scene. (Chapter 38 - in which the boys break up at the Fun Palace, Orlando is devastated and Michael starts crying at home and wipes Orlando’s toothbrush off the shelve…. I hope that aids people’s memory a bit!)
- Best Non-LoTR character. Yep! I’m immensely proud and surprised by this one. Thanks to your nominations Michael is now battling against Eric Banas and Jake Gyllenhaals. I can’t quite believe it.
- In the Best of the Best category TWWA is up for Best Overall Dialogue; Best Characterizations; Best Debut; and the big one (or so I’ve heard)… Best Overall Fic.
I’d also like to draw your attention to the wonderful idlesloth who is nominated for Best Beta. She undertook a big task with TWWA and undoubtedly did a fantastic job. Seriously, she saved the story.
