'Lo. First off:
(Thanks, Kristin. ^_^)
I put that in entirely because it amuses me that I used "3D" 16 times. You know you're a nerd when... ^^
I've been accepted everywhere I applied except Carleton. That's the good news. The bad news is that my two top choices, Earlham and Grinnell, offered enough financial aid to make them possible, but it'd be a real stretch (especially since I want to go on to grad school, and Karen'll be in college in a few years). Agnes Scott offered practically a full ride. Needless to say, I'm trying rather hard to find reasons to be excited about going to Scott. ^^ It's a good college, sooth, but the campus didn't feel as intellectually ALIVE as my top choices. In fact, it felt almost sleepy by comparison. A current student emailed me, though, and she's got that vivaciousness I found at my midwestern dream-schools... hopefully there're a lot more like her and I just didn't run into them.
Yay! Spring break is in two and a half days! Evelyn, Anne, my dad, and I are going camping at Black Rock Mnt. State Park way the heck in the corner of northeast GA. I am living for that trip right now, I really am. Maybe it's just the beautiful weather, but I've been having a terribly hard time concentrating in class- any class- of late. (Yes, even language arts, occasionally. It's scary.)
Economics teacher is gearing up for an entire month of review, and warned us up-front that he expects us ALL to pay attention the WHOLE time. I'm going to die. *dies* --Or at the very least break my record of never truly falling asleep in class. (Earlier this year I sort of fell asleep with my eyes open in econ. I "woke", and realized I hadn't heard an-y-thing for about 15 min.)
