DW: 4-12 The Stolen Earth

Jun 28, 2008 22:07

THIS, my friends, is what I have been waiting all series to see. It had it all. I was completely spoiled and still glued to my seat the entire time. From shipper squee to companion entourage to little pieces of the puzzle that made just a wee bit more sense... I was thoroughly entertained.

spoilers for this ep only )

Thanks! Nice to know the work is appreciated. *grin* I fear it will be just as long if not longer next week. Oh wait... it's 65 minutes long, definitely will take longer to write a recap! *grin*

It was the Daleks on their own, in the 1964 serial "The Dalek Invasion of Earth", their second story. Available on DVD at a store near you! :-)

I think the Crucible is an Old School thing that the Time Lords had that could move planets that was eventually stolen by the Daleks.

I too, suspect we haven't seen the last of Harriet Jones... but I don't think that's a good thing.

It's possible she's played the Doctor into a trap using his friends... and that here is some kind of unholy alliance with the daleks.

Who or what is on the inside of Bob? I can't help thinking that the colour scheme has some kind of hint that's lost on me.

That thought has crossed my mind! I hope it's not true. I think I prefer to think of her dying for the world then turning evil. Next week will tell!

Interesting... that's true. Why did Davros make Bob different from everyone else. What was the need? I think Bob will be his downfall.

You don't have to worry David isn't going anywhere, he's coming back as Ten for the three 2009 specials. The big rumor is that in the next episode there will be two Doctors, yeahhhhhhhhhhh can't wait.

I've heard those rumors. I know he's in been seen filming in the Christmas special, and even the split sounds probable from the filming pics I've seen. If it does go that way... it could be really good or really bad.
