What, an actual update? I guess...

House
Is coming around, had Mike and Maggie over here last weekend to watch football which was nice, afterall, one of the main reasons I bought this house was to host things.  Christine will be moving in next weekend, her room is almost ready (will be by Sunday, don't worry), but painting the rest is well behind schedule.  Looks like I'll have to put off recarpeting for a while, $$$.

Health
Well, all the test came back negative so we still don't know what the hell is going on.  The latest guess is that it is a partial blockage of the trakea (however you spell it) due to swelling caused by acid-reflux.  I have had acid-reflux for a while but never thought much about it (besides its annoying as hell).  So I'm on a 24-day Prilosec and see where it is after that.  Since Prilosec takes several days to kick in anyhow, and it'll take longer for the swelling or inflamation or whatever to go down, breathing is still amusing...

Work
Well I can at least see the light at the end of the summer rush tunnel.  One major project is completed as is one major audit report.  Have another large project underway and many small things to take care of before schools starts back up, but things are coming along, still very stressful of course, but aat least the stress is getting less intense.

Love-life
Yeah, still non-existant, surprise, surprise.  Had some casual-to-moderate flirting going back and forth with a woman at work the other day, any more even that is note-worthy.  When I was in her office later in the day helping her rearrange the furniture, I did realize that my poor self-esteem usually keeps me from even casually flirting with girls (since I immediately think that they'll have an "oh, gross! yuck!" reaction) and then since I don't let a woman know I'm interested in her, she of course doesn't know my feelings and therefor nothing happens.  (and yes, it still appears that in this day and age guys are still suppose to make the first move, but even if she was more forthcoming, she might just think that I'm not interested at all and not try).

Football
Went to the game today.  I had to work (our Alumni Tailgate event) and they had some extra tickets come noon, so while I missed the first five minutes, I caugt most of the game.  I won't talk about the game itself here, if you care you already know and if you don't care, why bore ya with it?  The seat was in an excellent place though, in the North-West corner of C-deck, could see every play (for better or worse!).  What wasn't cool was that since I wasn't ready to go to the game, I wasn't wearing sunscreen and I didn't have my sunglasses (it was rainning when I drove in and I left them in my truck, which was parked too far away to go and get them).  So I've got a little bit of a sunburn going on now, all-in-all though it wasn't too bad, any time the sun when behind a cloud (which was thankfully routine) it was very pleasent, especially with the slightly gusty winds.

Cat
One is doing very well, just thought I'd mention that.

Interesting
I went to bed a little after midnight Thursday night/Friday morning, fed and petted One for a bit and then set the alarm and laid down in bed.  I work up about 5:00 AM on the couch in my living room, evidently I might have started sleep-walking again.  Its happened one other time since I've been in this house (a few days after I got this couch, maybe I just really like the couch), that time scared me a bit since I wasn't as familiar with the layout of this house and it has stairs (my old apartment was single-story and the bed was pretty much the only place I could lay down anyhow).  Last time I slept-walked here I evidently had enough sense to close the bedroom door behind me (I keep her  in the master bedroom unless someone is here to make sure she doesn't get into something she shouldn't), this time I wasn't as considereate, thankfully she didn't get into anything and came up  from the basement once she heard me stumbling around trying to figure out where the hell I was.  I used to sleep-walk all the time as a kid, my dad said it was so common that he would often just carry me back up the stairs and put me back in bed so I wouldn't wake up and freek out by being in a different location.  I also almost set an aunt's and uncle's house on fire by sleep-lighting-matches-and-throwing-them-lit-onto-the-porch, thankfully that was a one-time occurance.

That's it for now.
