Yesterday was a good day. I finally finished the Primary CD project I've been working on for the past two weeks. I told the Primary President that I was planning to have it done last week. That was back when I thought my kids would get over the stomach flu by Tuesday. I guess this makes it obvious that my kids don't get the flu often.

Well, emotionally draining situations (like cranky children) take a good portion of my normal free time, either in helping them or in restoring my equilibrium. So Sunday morning comes along and I'm printing the inserts for the CDs, and Vraknan had kindly burned them (but drove me crazy by clicking the CDs open and closed while I was trying to get Penguin down). I finished folding and cutting the inserts with barely any time to spare before it was time to wake the boys and get out the door for church, but when I tried to put the inserts into the case I realized that they were too small.

Doom and gloom. That was the end of that for the day.

So I finished them last week and got them to church yesterday. Vrak and I were talking about it yesterday and he mentioned that he could see that the inserts were too small but decided he'd better just let me figure it out on my own. This was very smart of him as I would have snapped at him. As it was I managed to accept the state of things almost gracefully.

I'm really happy with how it turned out, though I don't think I'll do anything so image heavy again, just for the sake of my toner cartridge. I emailed the church copyright office and they gave me permission to use the Greg Olsen picture that was choosen to represent this year's Primary Theme. On the inside of the insert I printed the lyrics to the songs (except for the Articles of Faith).

After sacrament meeting, we went to my aunt's house (about a two hour drive east) to celebrate her graduation from graduate school and Father's Day. It was a lot of fun. I had a chance to just sit and chat with two of my cousins (one's in high school, the other in middle school) which I haven't been able to do since before I went off to BYU. Family is very important to me and it's great to feel connected. One of my cousins is coming to visit in July.

Today at Barnes and Noble I bought this book. Since this is the fourth book that I've bought because I took the boys to story time. I will officially stop feeling guilty about not buying something every time I go. I'm fulfilling the reason the store has story time. And frankly, I'd rather spend a little excess cash on books than almost anything else.

Except maybe chocolate.

According to the countdown cardboard stand (what are those things called in bookstores?) it's 34 days to Deathly Hallows. In case you're interested.
