(no subject)
Wow, I just looked at the date of my last post. I could have sworn I posted more recently than that! Since then I have lost one of my poor betta boys (Jaws 2, aka Sequel), and the female (Vatre). Lectral, my pretty white male, is still going pretty strong, and I picked up a new female, who has continued my husband's chosen naming tradition for some of my bettas. Her name is Tria (full name: Jaws 3).
I have also gotten a second kitty! Very shortly after my last post here, I believe. Morgana is not as easily photgraphed as Valdamari, though. Her tortieness is very hard to distinguish with the lighting we have, and she usually ends up looking dark grey or black. As soon as I have a decent picture, I'll post one.
At work, I'm finally done with my training and actually going to start doing real work! I convinced JJ to take me to the Navy Ball again, in October. I like to dress up, and there are very few opportunities for me to do so. I looked good in my dress, too. If I ever get that picture scanned in, I'll post it on the page with the one from the last Ball; this photographer posed us really oddly, but otherwise it's a good pic. Besides, JJ looks nice in his blues.
Only other big news, had me really down for a few days, and I'm still sad about - I just found out last Monday that my Grandpa died (the previous Monday!) Apparently things had been really hectic, and my dad didn't have a chance to let me know any sooner. I'm just glad my current schedule had me off last Monday; I don't know how well I would have done, had I had to go to work that day.
