Oh, good to know I'm not the only one who has weird feelings about it :D
I'm laughing about that version boring you.
hehe, well, what can I say, not a big fan of Colin Firth, me :P He's just a bit expressionless and that's a thing a don't like, I fall in love with crazy mimics like DT :D also I kinda like to watch in one go and five ours of this version of P&P is tiring :DD and I don't like the yellow-ish of all the film, green and blue of Keira's is much better for my eyes (I LOVE GREEN AND BLUE amd especially their mixes)
When I saw the Kira Knightley version, I kept thinking everything was whizzing by much too quickly.
hehe, since I never heard about Austen and watched it in the cinema it appeared a bit long-ish at the time *gg* but then I still loved it, I bought the DVD as soon as it appeared and it was my first licensed DVD ever *ggg*
I guess it's just what you're used to.
Yeah, first impressions and all that ;D the only other version ever that I liked better than the one I'd started with is Tenth Doctor over Nine, hehe, I was never so unfaithful before *grins*
And sorry I goofed up Northanger Abby and Mansfield Park. That's what I get for reading all of Jane Austen's books in quick succession one summer - I can't keep the names and characters straight for the ones I never reread.
it's ok, I've read them all in a short span, too, and I've never reread MP, S&S and Persuation, I've just spent much time fishing for adaptations and watching them so that's why I still remember=)
I really love NA, I know I hadn't liked it a bit when I'd read it immediately after P&P because they've got nothing in common (my mistake, If I like something I want to find MORE similar thing and not good different ones, I spend too much time comparing, that's a problem of a very analityc mind *gg*), but then I watched the 2007 adaptation, written by Andrew Davies, btw, the scriptor of your favorite P&P, and I fell in love with Henry Tilney played by JJ Feild (he played with Billie Piper and Matt Smith in "The Ruby in the Smoke" and the sequel) and the whole movie is fabulous, the girl playing Catherine was really great, too(it's the same actress that played The Unicorn in "The Unicorn and the wisp"), and I've reread the novel after that and completely adored it, yep, that's a power of fangirling someone*ggg* but oh, the voice JJ has *Guh* I know 2 years passed and I'm over him for a long time now but I'm still fond of the memory *gg*
so it may take a while to respond.
I'm not the one to complain about it, am I? :D I also might be late sometimes because I have to spend more time at my GrandMa's because she's now alone and there's no Internet there.
So, finally, your questions :D it was hard to choose but still it's not our last conversation(I hope) and we can always exchange questions out of this whole meme thing *g*
1.How long have you been watching DW and who/what brought you into it(basically why did you start and how quickly you became addicted?)?
2.Who is your favorite and least favorite character in House.M.D. and do you ship someone?
3.So I take it you are studying to be a doctor, do you have a story why you chose this profession or did you always want to become one?
4.Have you ever been abroad and what places would you like to visit?
5. Since you read A LOT have you ever read something by Russian writers? I'm just wondering=)
and out of meme, how do you want me to address you(in case I need to)? It's just I like to use first names to make it more personal but if you are wary about that I won't:)))
