Hello, flist, I know no one noticed, but I had no Internet for 3 DAYS, it really always drives me mad an Internet-addict like I am, I just don't know what to do with myself (especially on summer).
Ok, the first day wasn't that bad because I had sort of a sleep-over (or am I too old to call it that?) with my BF and she even watched some Who with me (had to bribe her with Jack in the episodes we watched, since I got her into Torchwood by promising slash there (Yep, that's the means I use to share my obsession just a bit XD)) and generally spend a good time, but the next day I was already desperate for Internet, I even installed HP3-game to replay for umpteenth time, that shows how desperate I was (I only play this extremely easy games when I'm really on edge and can't concentrate on anything and difficult games I actually don't play, not my thing *gg*)
It's good I wasn't very Who-deprived because I have many saved fanvids to rewatch and fic to read, but still, not being able to know all the news makes me downright itchy, sooo glad to be back=) Did I miss something interesting?
also,
jennyshepard, you might be glad to know that you actually coaxed me to watch "Labyrinth", it's not as I imagined due to your description but really not bad. I found it really cracky but in kind of charming ways :D and also very 80s, but I suppose it's just as well because it is from mid 80s :D Though all the monsters were really, well, muppet-y, I'm still impressed by the level of special effects, it doesn't look lame which is very fine by me. I also enjoyed some humour ("Don't worry, Ambrosius, we've got them surrounded" XD) and logic and songs, quite good a children's film, but I still don't know why are you so smitten ;D
Jennifer Conelly is a darling and David Bowie also played a good and charismatic villian, but from how they looked in the movie, I don't think I could ship that XD this Jareth didn't really seem "a good one who had to seem bad" and "terribly in love"
"Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave" - that's weird and a bit unhealthy for my liking ;D
Was there any difference in the book(maybe it helps to understand the characters better)? (if there was one)
But I don't regret watching, it was quite enjoyable, the movie rocks just with two actual actors and that's impressive=)
Anyway, I know there are fans of Labyrinth among you, my flist, I'd love to hear why you love it this much=))
one more So glad to be back *SQUEE*
and last but not least:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
thegreengirl, have a nice year=)
