Goujun Appreciation Month!

Since next Monday marks the birthday of my rp character Ao Jun, a.k.a. Goujun, Dragon King of the Western Seas, Commander of the Armies of the Western Heavens,

I hereby decree March to be
Goujun Appreciation Month

... though what that exactly entails is anyone's guess.

And that, my dear dragon lovers, is your job; what does one do during Goujun

so, im going through all my memories and scouring the net and stuff for GAM, and i gotta tell you, i dont think 'fic rec' will be enough haha! ever think of composing a Goujun Fic Index or something on a bigger scale? as it stands i just stumbled into kintail's stuff and, well, i'd rec all of it! and TJ's hakuryuu's fics and drabbles are all worthy, and...well. the list goes on ^_^ btw, are you including Hakuryuu in this or is it only Goujun?

Well, at this point the sky's the limit. We can separate the Little White One stuff out from the Big White One, but still include them all.

When you say "Fic Index," I'm not sure what that would entail. Are you suggesting putting something like that on my memories page, or doing something else? I'm still not all that educated on all these lj bells and whistles. I'd sure be up to trying to create one, though!!!

yeah, from what i gather, a fic index is like a giant fic rec page. i think most people link them on their journal page, and post an entry with them. i have a few for bleach and saiyuki in my mems (im even listed on one of them, yay!). its a way to list one shots, drabbles, and those epic multi-chaptered fics. a lot of ppl list the fics alphabetically by author and just put links to the site where the fic can be found. now that i think about it, i wonder if there are any author index thingies out there?

anyhoo, did that make any sense at all? i'd love to help you with anything you need :)

Thanks for the offer of help! I have a steep enough learning curve, but you know how it is, everything takes time... in any case, if you see any rec pages like you're talking about in the near future, please send me the link and we'll see how they're set up. As long as it isn't yet another lj *rolls eyes* or requires me to buy something, I'm willing to work on setting it up. Yay! ^___^

i was thinking, maybe you could ask the mods at saiyuki if you can post this on their page? it would get even more pimpage there ^^

*half-raises hand* I kinda-sorta volunteer to do this. I've been toying with the idea of compiling a ficlink post of all the Goujun fic I can find for ages, without ever getting around to it. An official Goujun Appreciation Month would be a good excuse to actually do it.

I've got a bazillion fics/links archived in my gmail, even, with tags and stuff so it's not like I don't have quick access.

I will try to do this, and to do it within the month. *determined pose*

I'll work on that putting out that call for fic recs post tomorrow afternoon, and we can start sorting through them as they come in.

Sounds like a mahvelous idea. You can never get enough Goujun fic. I remember doing a Google search and frantically searching for Goujun fics a while back.
