*Gust sat on the wide stone window ledge of her room. The stone was rough and cold against her skin where she leant against it, and her feet dangled over the edge, buffeted by the chill mountain winds. The mansion was so quiet now, empty apart from her. Everyone else had... left. But she really didn't have anywhere else to go. She couldn't go to

Everything had gone terribly wrong, and Silvermane had missed her Grampa John so much that she'd gone and visited for a time. After what had happened with Aristotle, she'd needed time away. Not just from the Dragons, but from everything affiliated with being a super hero. She needed a chance to be the timid, scared little girl she'd always been.
During her visit, it was her Grampa John that told her she was a lot stronger and braver than she gave herself credit for...and told her it would take courage to go back, but he believed that was what she needed to do, now.
Courtesy of the metal in her clothing, she floated to Gust's window.
"Y-you know...it's pretty cold out here," she said softly as a greeting.

Don't mind cold. Helps to think.

Now, after everything that had transpired, it was Silvermane's turn to reach out to Gust.
"G-good thing I came warmly dressed, then," she said. "Um...well...mind if I join you on t-that windowsill?"
Reply
Don't mind.
*She just wondered why, after everything, Silvermane would want to be near her at all.*

"Um...well...I j-just wanted to let you know that if you needed to talk about anything, you can talk to me," she said. Tentatively, she reached over and gave Gust's hand a gentle squeeze. "T-that's what friends are for, right?"

Still... friends?

She offered her friend a smile. "So um...yes. D-definitely still friends."

Thank you. And sorry... will make up for it. I promise.

Not speaking up about Slizzath was her biggest regret in all of this. However, trusting Aristotle so blindly with regards to the ritual was another.

He was very good at lying. Would have talked out of doubts.

"Just...um...well...d-don't let that spoil your views on love," she said, in the hopes of being encouraging. "Somewhere out there, t-there's someone who'll know exactly how special you are - not because of your powers, but because of what kind of person you are."

*It was probably a good time for a subject change, to something less personal, but no less important.* What will you do now?

"Well...I've um...b-been thinking," said Silvermane, quite seriously. "About restarting the Dragons. Um...well....obviously n-not with the immortality goal. But I don't think that Aristotle was wrong about everything. W-we were all born with amazing gifts, and I think we could help a lot of people."
It was hard for Silvermane to bring it up because it would be her responsibility to start the group up. She didn't have a lot of confidence and had never thought of herself as a leader, but at the same time, this was something she felt strongly about. Not just that, but ever since she'd managed to stand up to Slizzath, she felt a tiny bit more confident. At least when it came to doing what she knew was right. Confidence in other respects would come later with a lot of time.
"I-if I restarted the Dragons as a superhero team, would you join me?" she asked. "I don't think I could do it without you and Corey."

Of course! That is a good idea, I like it. *Her face fell as something else occurred to her, though* But - will everyone else, will they be okay with me being there? Not... not everyone is going to... forgive me for what happened.
