So I passed my medical for the Coast Guard. Had a bit of a scare with my colour vision, I failed the first test to measure colour blindness but then did perfect on the second one so I guess I can see colours after all. What a relief to know I haven't just been imagining them all this time. Now just need to wait to hear the results of my security screening but since I know for a fact I'm neither a spy nor a criminal I don't think that will be a problem so I'm feeling very confident tonight that I've found myself a job :) So confident I've been reading up on the federal government pensions, medical and dental plans, and all those other little things I'll have to deal with. Now I just need to arrange to end up back in Victoria after training but one step at a time.
