First overnight at Fr. Ed's

Dec 28, 2010 06:37

Time I finally went to bed last night: 12:30, like normal
Time I got up this morning: 5:55
How I felt about 5:55 when it happened: Okay, actually
How I feel now, at 6:30: Oh my gosh, why am I awake and AT WORK? Why is my bed so far away, and why do I need to take a lightrail to get there? And why didn't I pack my facewash?
But: At least non babies decided to get born last night! (one is due next week)
Time I normally get up: 9ish (so yes, I'm a baby about this 6am thing)
Number of children awake at 10:30 last night: Too many, and they were loud
Number of children awake now: None, so who will I eat breakfast with?
Number of (big) spiders squished in the office: Two so far, and the bigger one was red- gross.
Amount of work I was able to get done last night: Lots! Hooray!
What I'm going to do now: Eat some cereal so I feel human again.

I actually think I could handle doing regular overnights, so long as I didn't have someplace I needed to be on Tuesdays, because I feel all kinds of off. And by that, I mean "really tired." I'll still come back to work today, but for a much shorter shift. In the meantime, I'll stick around here for another hour and a half, then go home to MY BED. Then Joe can come home to snuggle me after he gets home FROM WORK (hooray, coffee shop!) and before he goes to ANOTHER INTERVIEW IN THE AFTERNOON. (And then he has a law job interview tomorrow!)

Now- time for breakfast and more yawning!
