I am pleased to report that peanut butter really does get gum out of hair.
Scissors would be easier, and less messy, but when the gum covers a large area and is close to the scalp, so that your child would be effectively bald over half her head if you snipped it out, peanut butter is definitely the way to go.
(She is not allowed gum, of course. And since telling her "No gum" has zero effect, the gum is hidden away inside a tall cabinet where she can't reach. You know where she got this gum from? You'll never guess. She DUG IT OUT OF THE TRASH CAN, where Danae had deposited it. Yes. It was ABC gum.)
The nightgown and the underwear had to be thrown away, as my patience is limited, but the gum apparently was not. There were at least three or four separate pieces; huge wads of the stuff everywhere.
No choir practice for us this morning.
On the plus side, now I have time to sit and have coffee while watching Randy Phillips, John Ragsdale, and Jacob Lowery on The Awakening. So, yay.
