Delenn and the Doctor
There's a teacher at Delenn's daycare who's been there for years. Her husband is round and white-haired and wears a long white beard, so every year he dresses up as Santa and takes pictures with the kids at daycare.
They also eat at the same restaurant almost every night. It's close to our house so we bump into them quite frequently, and he always talks to the girls. Delenn calls him Santa Claus--I can't convince her that that's not who he really is.
The other day we were waiting for our food to be delivered and Delenn went over to their table to talk to them. When we got up to leave, the man motioned us over and told us that he had never been so impressed by a four-year-old before.
I asked him why, and he said, "She's been telling me all about Doctor Who!"
I said, "Oh, I'm sorry, she's a little obsessed right now."
He said, "No, no, I didn't mind at all! I've never known a child who's even heard of Doctor Who, much less one who could discuss it with me like a grown-up. She's been telling me all about the new Doctors."
