Yesterday James and I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and I really liked it. I think that Johhny Depp is pretty amazing...his version of Wonka reminded me of a good mix of Michael Jackson meets Cher.
I really need to go the gym today and maybe the library, I need to brush up on my french, but other than that, just a lazy day. We are thinking of going to san diego next month for a nice little vacation at Mission Beach and just hanging around the gaslamp district and hillcrest, I miss balboa park. We have to get the pups fixed soon, they are going through puberty right now and man are the emotional rollercoasters...gotta get'm snipped too because they want to chew on the furniture...bad dog bad dog.
So the movie that I have been going over in my head for the last 6 months has already been made and I had no idea. I have wanted to do a gay western love story for a long time and I had the characters and the setting and pieces of the plot here and there, but I just could not figure out a good way to show how these two really hot cowboys fall in love with each other. I could have easily written it to show how one would develop a crush/lustful feelings for the other, but I just couldn't figure out how to show them overtime falling in love with each other and not isolate the audience...I couldn't just have them walk up to each other on the ranch and say "hey dude, you like peanut butter?" "yeah man, I do." "well then lets fuck", that would be too gay pornish....just kidding.
Anyway, the movie is
Brokeback Mountain and I am really excited to see how the story progesses.
Thats about it for now.
