maintanance experiment and note

A resident recently moved out and left a big box of silverware and cutlery. After most everyone pillaged the box i took about half a dozen paring-knives up to the roof so i could drop them off and see if they would stick in the ground. Not one of them stuck. I think it was too windy and the knives weren't heavy enough. It was fun for about 5 minutes.
Above the bed in a residents room was a printed out note that said:
Daytime- NO bed
Dark- bed
