Bird in Pool
Today when I arrived at work a resident told me she saw a dead bird in the pool. when I went to check it out the bird was stuck in the pool skimmer(the little gate at the lip that sucks in leaves and junk). As soon as I tried to pick it up it fluttered around in the skimmer trying to get out. i pushed it out of the skimmer and into the pool. It started swimming around using its wings. The bird was obviously tired and confused so I helped it out of the pool using the net. It wobbled over to the building and sat down, I figured to finish dying. A couple of hours later I came back to check on the bird and as I walked up to it it started walking around back out to the yard. It pecked at some stuff on the ground and walked on. I think it was in pretty bad shape. I watched it walk all the way across the yard to where the cats live by the run-off ditch. I don't know if birds have the capacity to commit suicide, I mean, I'm no ornithologist. That's all.
