oh audrey hepburn was a godess.
lately, i've seen way too many normal girls talking about dieting & stuff. now, this is normal, especially when you're still a teenager like i am, but it just makes me sick when i hear people talking 'being fat is unhealthy' when actually normal weight is being considered as 'fat'. that's how far it went with society ( Read more... )

Both types of girls, skinny or fat, are not healthy.

I assume you meant "dangerously underweight" when you say "skinny" and "obese" when you say "fat", because otherwise this is not true in the slightest. I am a skinny girl and I am pretty healthy. Women come in all shapes and forms, and as long as the weight is not causing any health problems, BOTH can be healthy and perfectly okay.

What kind of picture should that be? I doubt that you can judge someone's skinnyness on a normally clothed picture, and I'm for sure not sending around bikini pics to prove that my ribs and hip bone are showing. Also I also know girls even skinnier than me who are perfectly healthy as well. You are spreading bad generalisations and I don't need your judgment of my figure to know that.

You just offended me. And you're aware of that.
What right do you have to offend me? Did I offend you? I was simply discussing with you.

Besides, it's just about being healthy. You FEEL that you're healthy but you could get easily affected by whatever, whether you're skinny or fat.

Anyways, I don't need a picture of you. I just thought that maybe you're the type of girls who post their pics in their blogs so I thought why not see how skinny she is.
I mean, I know fat girls who think they're fair.
I know fair girls who think they're skinny. I know fair girls who think they're fat.

Standards differ.

What? With what should I have offended you? Did I call you names anywhere?

And it's not about anyone's standards or your own perception of skinny or fat, it is about what you said. You said that neither skinny nor fat girls are healthy, and this is NOT. TRUE. unless you talk about anorexic girls when you say "skinny" and obese girls when you're saying "fat", because only those two extremes cause health issues based on someone's weight. But I have alreay said that and you just ignored it and instead asked for a picture of me (what has nothing to do with the topic at all, but you are free to search for my username on daily_lolita as I'm a frequent poster there), and when I said I'm not willing to deliver proof that I'm indeed skinny before you consider thinking about what I have said, you invented an offence that I personally can't see.

To me it seems that you just want to provoke, but if that's the case, please do it with someone else as my time is too precious for that.

I asked for a picture because I wanted to see how skinny you are before I continue giving out my standards of skinny, understand? Who knows, maybe in my standard, you're fat.

No, gurl, I'm not interested. Because why should I care. At first, I was just enjoying discussing but you ruined it.

You have your ribs showing? That's not healthy in MY standard. See? Standards differ.

No offence to terrorpinguchib, but in MY standard, she's fat. If I were her, I would go on a diet to have a fair body. But who knows, maybe in HER standard, she's fair.

Btw, Skinny or fat are both not healthy, yes. That's my opinion. Why did you reply to me anyway? Your opinion is different and you can't force it on me.

Then go spend your precious time on whatever. I'm sleepy and sleeping is much more precious than this pointless discussion.

girls, please. i just wanted to say that i can't take this force on girls to be skinny any longer.
standards differ, that's right but we should stay on topic, right?

i also didn't want to say that skinny equals ugly, just that it's wrong to force being 'thin' or 'skinny' on every girl and consider anyone else fat and unhealthy.
