Trees Die Standing is a zine of on-the-ground writing from the most beautiful place in the world, Palestine!
#1 'The Road To Gaza' sets the precedent for how a fantastically unchronological journey this will be through my nine months in occupied Palestine. Follow our hero [hah!] as, fresh outta her eviction from the West Bank, she bee-lines to the Rafah border crossing between Gaza & Egypt, following Egyptian Prez Mubarak's decision to "open" the border in the wake of the flotilla massacres. Read interviews with Bedouin folks involved in the lucrative smuggling trade in the lifeline tunnels between Sinai & Gaza including a tunnel manager, & other eccentric characters along the road to Gaza, through the hardship, frustration & beauty of our surroundings. . .
Not asking any particular price for this, pay as you like. 50% of all cash raised will go directly to the International Solidarity Movement. The other half goes to supporting me & Ryan on our imminent Eurotrash tour to talk about Palestine... globalize the intifada!
