For those of you who check this blog out for info and whatnot on my writing, you'll be happy to know that my household's routines have returned to relative normalcy and I can once again continue work on my story.
However, there's been some unexpected developments that have cropped up over the past week. I'm currently assisting two fellow writers with their own works in whatever capacity they need me in. I've fondly been referring to them as "my kids" (mostly in a self-deprecatory reference to my own age, and the fact that they're both in their teens) whenever I talk about them to my partner. I do adore them, really. If not for the distance, I'd welcome them into my home any day.
Also, because my mind's had a chance to not be so focused, it has cropped up two more story ideas, which as compelling as they are, I really don't want to start working on them until In Between is done. If I start another project now, I'll never finish it and then I'll be DOOMED. And so would you, if you wanna know how the story ends.
Here's a bit of a glimpse of what may be coming down the pike after that story is done:
- Honest Lullaby - A Hope x Nora oneshot. Taking place shortly after Hope's flashback scene in Episode Zero Part V: Friends, it's a quiet, introspective moment between mother and son, before the rigors of growing up take their toll.
- Missing In Action - The title is just a working one, as the storyline itself isn't fully compete in my mind. Postgame. On a particularly dangerous patrol, Lightning goes missing. For months, there is no trace of her, whether she is alive or dead. Hope, with some help, takes it upon himself to find out what happened to her, and if she is alive, to bring her home.
And there you have it. There could be more, but we will see where my imagination takes me.
