RT 2008 - Pittsburgh PA

So RT 2008 has come to an end… and I miss everyone already. I had a BLAST. It is so nice to see my BFF’s and make new ones. I know that we will all be bonded for years to come.
First let’s start with of some of the BFF’s
Dakota, Michele, and Renee (The Original BFF crew) we have so much fun when we are together. There is no PMS, does not matter where we are or who is there, we just laugh, drink, smoke and laugh some more.
Jaynie who I LOVE to death and is NOT scary at all… should would be part of the Original BFF’s if she lived closer to come hang out MORE often. I LOVE seeing Jaynie and HATE it the most when she leaves as I know it will be much longer till I see her than any of the other BFF’s.
Rob who is an honorary BFF and has the funniest lines and helps to keep Dakota on track… we REALLY need to clone Rob so I can have one TOO.
Lori and Space who will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart.. I LOVE you guys and Thanks for thinking of me… sorry we could not complete your plan for me, but I was just too busy.
Nancy and Tricia my roomies from last year. Did not see much of them since they were off with new BFF’s Megan, Linda and Beth all week, but we will ALWAYS have been newbies together!
Cindy, Renee and Selah… these are some funny fucking woman and I adore them ALL. Hopefully next year Cindy and Renee will hang out with us a bit more.
MaryJanice and Jessica… You guys ROCK and MJ can drink with me ANYTIME.
Jose and I arrived on Tuesday and promptly headed to the airport to pick up Dakota Cassidy, whose flight was delayed. So we parked the car, had lunch and Jose bought up chocolate for all the girls. We headed back to the airport for Jaynie, and Jose also picked up his friend Megan and Michele Bardsley and Renee George.
Once we had all arrived the FUN commenced. There was some really great moments at RT this year, most for me having to do with our fun and not the convention itself. We got to hang out with Cindy Cruciger and Renee Bernard who I love and Selah March has also been induced into the BFF club. She is beautiful and funny and an all around GREAT person.
Got to see so many of my favorite authors who I already LOVE. Jackie Kessler, Richelle Mead, Kathy Love, Erin McCarthy, Sahara Kelly, Scott Carpenter, some of the ladies from the review sites who are soooo nice. I also got to meet some new ones JR Ward was so nice. Recently I was lucky enough to get an ARC of her next book (Which I finished in the hotel and it was FAB) so she signed it for me. I have to say DAYUM that woman as so much energy.
So here are my top 10 RT Highlights for this year…
10 . Champagne for Dakota - Jaynie wanted to have champagne to celebrate the success of Dakota’s book, but the restaurant did not have any. Michele, Renee and I decided to remedy that by getting it at the hotel bar which was a nightmare, but we finally succeeded and all was well.
9. Meeting JR Ward - Her books ROCK….She was so nice and very sweet and then proceeded to bow to Dakota. I got an AWESOME picture of the two of them together.
8. Meeting Selah March -She is just as sweet and funny as I expected her to be. We had LOADS of fun and she fit RIGHT in with our crazy bunch.
7. Meeting Ron and Jay - Ron plays a mean piano and they were both funny and nice and just as nuts as we are.
6. MaryJanice /Dakota showdown - The banter between MJ and Dakota on the Re-inventing paranormal panel was PRICELESS.
5. Snark Wars Part 1 - Watching MJ, Michele Bardsley and Dakota snark at each other on fans tote bags was so funny I nearly pissed my pants.
4. Snark Wars Part 2 - Dakota and Michele snarking on post its to be delivered by fans at the book fair was my moment of brilliance.
3. Rooming with Michele and Renee - ebven if I did keep falling alseep before the end of the movies.
2. Renee Bernard’s Hoochie Mama on the Dance Floor story - Which I heard her tell at the Evening Temptation party and insisted that she come to the bar to re-tell the story to Dakota where she ended up with a MUCH bigger audiance than she expected. It was JUST as funny the second time around.
1. My Brush with Mr. RT Chris Winters -So while running around like a crazy woman I fell on my face at the Evening Temptation party. Chris came running up to me asking if I was okay.. I assured him I was and he gave me a BIG hug and kiss on the cheek. Then asked all day if I was sure I was okay. Maybe I should fall more often……..YUMMY
He won Mr. RT, but came in third in the online voting.
So another year of RT is over and I can’t wait for next year when my Vishous Bitch J BETTER be there, or I will have to kill her.
