The cutest thing is occuring in my backyard. Two squirrels are playing with one another and chasing one another. It makes me happy. By the way... I got to see Chris yesterday :), and I had my dad's retirement dinner at night. I cried. I mean my dad has been working at the park for over half of his life, and now he's about to leave. It's like a senior on graduation day. He's getting older and that scares me, so I can't even imagine how frightened he must be. He is amazing, the director of the park said some really kind words about him. He proclaimed, "Gary Hoffman is the heart&soul of this park distrct, and will always be known as so," and for the first time I was proud of my father and grateful that God had blessed me with such a wonderful family.
Today was the party in Journalism, we also went over the best articles, and I'm happy to say that Grimes deemed my article "The Best of the Holiday Edition." Also, today was the in school concerts, I didn't get to go to any :( but the Concert Band did amazing, so much better than we did at the concert. I was nails on my tuba soli, it was sweet (I missed it at the concert.) Another great part of today was that I was flooded with compliments, it made me so happy. My favorite was from Mrs. Bender. She said "Katy, you're the fashion queen," that made my life. Also Maddie Vissing made me smile. She said "Katy, you're the cutest person I know, I love all of your clothes!" Then I got to see Chester and that rocked. And while I was visiting Chester he told me how proud he was of me and Mrs. Wilhelm chimed in and said some real sweet things about my musicianship and maching-band-ship. It made my world. Today was pretty much awesome. I love people, and if I don't see you guys over the holidays, Happy Christmas and Merry New Years! I LOVE YOU.
P.S: You should all listen to the song I have on my "Music," it's AMAZING.
