Got turned down for a job on the grounds that I didn't meet the basic requirements -- four years in computer technology-related work or a computer-oriented degree and two years of of work. I was a fricking electronic resources librarian for 5 years. Even if you ignore my degree as too theoretical to count (Library and Information Science is about how information is structured and organized and underlies a lot of computer technology), that's more than four years of dealing with the ad-hoc assigned IP ranges of my previous employer ("Yes, I know it doesn't seem to be part of our network, but I swear that it is"), tracking down access issues ranging from works station issues to general network connectivity and user assistance. But I suspect they ignore what I actually did and just looked at the title.
