For sure. I asked Haden to invite you to the previous one because I don't have your number in my phone. I consider you a friend and as such there is an open invite to you to all future gatherings.
Our policy on +1s is simple. They're invited as long as you vouch for their ability to be sensible :). Also, they must not be boring or arrogant. We have enough boring (Michael) and enough arrogant (Me) to fill a Star Destroyer.
My policy on martial artists is as follows. Anyone who studies martial arts must be open minded to other styles and must respect that there will be differences of opinion. Demonstrations of techniques are not to occur unless solicited by *another* martial artist. At last count, that's Haden and me. If your +1 is a normal person, then I shouldn't need to say that and he's more than welcome. If your +1 has an inferiority complex and is studying Ninjutsu to counter that - I don't want to meet him. This isn't a comment about him personally, just about martial artists in general who are unable to control themselves or think they have something to prove.
I've been confronted with people who think that my style of MA is rubbish and who want to challenge me. I've dealt with everything from snippy comments to blatant threats and I'm sick of people who can't reign in their impulses.
Sorry, that was a stored up rant that sort of popped out. It's *not* directed at you or your +1. He's probably a normal, decent guy that I would be happy to meet and have over with you :)
