Palm Springs International Film Festival
Oh! I actually did do something interesting over the weekend. Wowzers! I went over to Palm Springs on Friday to check out this movie at their film festival. First time I'd ever been to something like that. Would've liked to stayed for more, but I didn't have the time or money. I actually went to see just one particular movie. I like the actor Gerard Butler, and he had done a movie called Beowulf and Grendel. It's just doing the film festival circuit right now. Hasn't found a distributor yet. Not to be negative, but it probably won't see wide release. I personally enjoyed it with the exception of one thing. The dialog (sp?) is a bit more modern then I anticipated. Other then that, I really enjoyed it. It was worth the trip. I got to meet the director, and had him autograph a poster from the festival. Probably eventually get it framed. Course it was fun to see many of my friends out there, too, who'd come to see it. Plus I stayed with a friend in Palmdale, which was nice. I had a lot of fun with her, and her furry "kids". She has like three dogs, three cats, two parrots, and several fish. The animals are rescued animals. They're sweeties. So not bad of a weekend. It was fun to do. Kind of in the realm of doing something outside of my "box", as it were.
