Checking in
So, did I just spend the best part of the morning rearranging both my tumblr themes and my dreamwidth icons to have them contain more Ineffable husbands ? Yes I have. Was it a waste of time ? Depends on your standards. Do I have any regrets ? None whatsoever, I can work on the SBB this afternoon and still catch up, easy.
It was nice to just worry about that this morning and not think of work-the past few weeks have been a bit tense, what with exams and new methods and things. I mean, I don’t deal well with change no matter what kind-either I’m the one who initiates it and that means I’ll talk/think about it FOREVER and then go for it all at once (see : the tattoo I thought about getting for almost ten years and then got without discussing it with anyone beforehand) or someone else introduces it and my go-to reaction is pretty much always no. I come around eventually, with more or less speed depending on if I like the new proposed status quo, but there’s always a part of me that wants to nope out before I even hear the end of things-so I can very much relate to both Aziraphale and Crowley, here.
Anyhoos, that’s OVER for this session, meaning I can breathe a little more easily and focus on my Big Bang writing : I’m only about 4k behind my writing goals, which I should be able to catch up with fast enough, and then hopefully it’ll be a straight line until the 15th, when I hope to hand the by-then 100k (plus?) monster over to my wonderful beta reader for editing. Also, by then I should have begun to fix my ankle, which will be a relief and infinitely more practical to go and see trovia in Germany at the end of the month (I am EXCITE, guys) !
And boy, that’s a project as well, no mistake there :D I need to make a list of the things I want to see and do, and also send an email to my bank in France so I can use my card and not have it blocked, because that would be awkward. Bless the EU for meaning I don’t have to bother with visas or anything of the sort, to be honest.
And then, when all of that is done, I’ll be able to throw a dart at my stack of WIPs and think about maybe finishing and publishing another fic (although hopefully not that large!) before the end of the year. Question is : will I go for one of my series* work on one of my Napollya fics (strangely enough, I think the Enchanted fusion would be the likeliest candidate, which is fun because I was way more serious about the mutant!Napoleon fic when I started thinking about it) or do I indulge in that one idea for mutant!Crowley & Aziraphale fic I had the other day.
Tough decisions, but I guess if anyone wants to weigh in/hear more about any of those projects, you’re welcome to weigh in or just come talk to me about it.
In the mean time, I might rewatch the longest cold open in history for the twelfth time in, uh, seven days...and it’ll be tickledi-boo ;)
