I'm big for my size

For reasons that I'm not very clear on, people tend to consistently overestimate my weight. Today, while I was sparring a guy, my Muay Thai coach said to the other guy, "take it easy; you've got 20 pounds on him!" When the round ended, someone asked, "how much does [he] weigh, anyway?" The response from the coach was, "about 185". I looked in disbelief, "so you think I weigh over 160?"

"I figure you're about 155?" (I crinkle my face and shake my head.)
"145?" (Continue shaking my head, give the thumbs down.)
"140? 135?" and I finally affirm.

I guess I should take it as a compliment, that I am either stronger or appear more muscular than their conception of what someone 135 pounds looks like. But that's not actually true at all. I'm not very strong for my size (I deadlift like, 100 lbs or so), and I know I'm not very muscular-looking. If you look at a guy like Bruce Lee who was the same dimensions as me (5'7" 135), obviously that is an outlier, but that is someone who looks way heavier than he is. I tend to think I look pretty much like what I weigh. But people keep thinking that I am around 155 for some reason.

I think what's more likely is that people rarely actually encounter adult males who weigh under 140 lbs. And I guess if they do, they are probably like 5'3" or 5'4" or so. I don't actually know anyone who weighs the same as me but is taller. In any case, hopefully I will be able to become closer to perception since after no-gi worlds, I plan to put on some weight. I love eating, so it really shouldn't be hard.
