Walked with more energy, ate more, got some sleep last night, was generally in a much better mood.
Told her I was leaving tomorrow. She gave me a sparkly brooch thingy and said grandpa won't be around to see you get married, so when you do, give this to your wife. For the wife, not just girlfriend, she stressed. She also said, basically, hurry up and get married so that I'm still around to see it.
That last statement could be taken positively or negatively, but I guess I'll go positively.

For some reason, people keep adding me to their LJ f-list even though this has gone from a blog about a high-stakes poker player (which I guess is interesting to some people) to about some random kid's grandparents (typically not considered very interesting) with an in-between period of absolutely no posting at all.
Back in Costa Rica tomorrow, where hopefully I will not be posting about how badly my flight sucked.
