One Wrong Step, chapter three
Here's that update I promised last week. This is all my fault - I didn't realize that one of my betas went on vacation, and when she didn't get back to me, I assumed she thought the chapter was so bad that she didn't know what to tell me. =P So yeah, more changes may be coming to this chapter once she gets her hands on the thing, but I thought I'd post the sucker and hope for the best.

To complement this update, Lady Yuskreven did a OWS pic of Squall a couple weeks ago. I really like the almost abstract feel to the picture that seems to suit the different tone of this fic. And I'll admit, I'm happy that she chose that particular scene to draw.
ehcnalava thinks the name 'Skid' may have come from the markings on his head, but I still like to think it's because of his mostly white body and black tail. :)

Skid's favorite location for the first week of staying with me - on the couch and at my feet. Lately, though, the poor beast has been sick (probably kennel cough, according to Jamie) and has been hiding upstairs in a far more uncomfortable area. *shakes head* I don't get animals sometimes.
