Dang, it's hard to believe that it's already September. Has it really been since March that I started 'One Wrong Step'? I don't know how all of you deal with my sporadic updates. At least this is a longer chapter to enjoy:
Title:
One Wrong Step - chapter 2Pairings: Seifer x Squall
Chapter Summary: Seifer copes with moving into Squall's place
Lovely betas:
smgriffin and Jess Almasy
Series notes: *pout* This story is going to be longer than planned... but aren't they all?
Word Count: 16,951
Coming up next is the Cloud and Zack oneshot that I promised from GR:NP, and then I'm going to try to finish up some of those requests sitting around from 2008. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to keep my New Year's resolution to finish all of the remaining requests by the end of this year. School and work have been too brutal for something like that, but I'll try my best.
Speaking of school, I finished one term last week and started a new one this week. Unfortunately, a course got dropped due to low enrollment, which means I have a light load for two months, and then I may have to take an extra course the term after that to get everything done before my cap-stone course in January. If all goes according to plan, I'll be done by spring. Wish me luck!
Work is work, no need to rehash old complaints.
On a fun note, I have absolutely fallen in love with a new-ish show: '
Leverage'. I have to admit that I've been sorely disappointed with original TNT shows in the past, and for that reason, I didn't check out 'Leverage' when it aired last year. But then first season boxset was on sale and I decided to try it, dragging
ehcnalava along for the ride. Luckily, we were both pleasantly surprised and highly amused by this series. The oddest part for me is that I tend to favor male characters, but Parker keeps winning me over with something new each episode. She's a socially-inept thief who loves money, and I don't mean she loves money to buy things - she loves money to the point of hugging it when she has the chance. She hates horses because they are 'murderous'. As a kid, she blew up a house to get her stuffed bunny back. I love this girl. But altogether, the whole group was very well casted and they have a great script with too many awesome one-liners. I highly recommend this show.
Well, that's been my life for the last month and a lot more is coming up. Next week is NDK with both
zalia and
amidoji in town. It'll be awesome to see them pre Yaoi-con, which is coming at the end of October. Before I know it, it'll be the end of the year. O_o Where is all of my time going??
