A quick post before it's time for bed!
This Friday Jess and I went down to Miami! We got to go to the Museum of Science first (even though I got us lost and ended up on some bridge and oh god, I'm terrible with directions .. !) and I finally got to see real-live dinosaur bones. From China, even! They were amazing and I hope they were as impressed to see me as I was to see them. One of them was 80-some feet long, which is just ridiculous. Along with my real-live dead dinosaurs, they had a wildlife thing where we got to see ginormous turtles and even some eagles and things. This just made me more excited to go to the zoo this weekend. Fun summer stuff!
We left the museum and then promptly got lost again while looking for food! Well, not so much lost, just .. I .. we drove around in a circle three or four times trying to figure out where parking was for the Cheesecake Factory.
Left there and got to The Fillmore just in time! Eddie Izzard came on a little bit later, so it worked out fine, and it was absolutely amazing. Hilarious is in all the videos I've seen! We sat in the back, but there was absolutely no problem with that and everything was awesome, I wish I could have seen all of his previous acts live.
Saturday night we went out and saw The Incredible Hulk, which was pretty awesome! Edward Norton is the best, and I am going to be totally excited to see The Avengers movie when it eventually comes out.
It was a great weekend, capped off by spending the day with the family today. We were going to have a big seafood dinner, but my dad didn't feel like cooking on father's day, soooo .. pizza!
And now I have to get ready for bed!
P.S.: I feel I most note that all of these driving issues happened even with my friendly GPS telling me where to go. I am truly special, guys!
