I mean to say it earlier, but I love that you named her Kensi. And that it was Wash's idea to have her middle name be Ayani. It just works.

Great that he'll still accord Lucas a decent burial.

And Elisabeth's presence at the end watching over them both in a way. Lovely.

Thanks... I actually got her name from NCIS: Losa Angeles. I loved the name ever since I started watching that show and thought it fit a BAMF child for some reason.

As for Lucas's burial, I think a parent is going to love their child no matter what they've done... I think the burial is a good way to show Taylor's guilt and love.

Elisabeth's presence... I just think of her as a mama bear, I guess. lol.

You really have a way with words - happy and sad moments come hand in hand here, dark to light, and even though the grief is more prominent, it's the little moments in this story that make for it.

I almost expected Lucas to give up but in the end there was no other way. His death was inevitable and though I'm not sad to see him go, my heart breaks for Taylor. You've done an incredible job with his emotions, the pain and hoplessness he feels, and the love for his son that will always be there. :)

The image of two little BAMFinis is the little light of happiness among the sorrow and even though it's heartbreaking, the last part is my favourite. I love Elisabeth for letting him stay, Taylor needs Wash right now more than anything else and Elisabeth knows that better than anyone else.

Another beautiful chapter. ♥
