Title: The Life of Alicia Washington (part 1/?)
Character/Pairing: Wash/Taylor
Genre: Fluff, Romance

Summary: The Life of Alicia Washington.
Author’s Note: This is my first time at doing anything like this and my skill is no where near as good as other author's on this site. But I couldn't resist trying to convey my crazy thoughts on the whole taylor/wash romance. I apologise in advance for any incorrect spelling and general mistakes. Any type of feedback wanted please. = )

He had been gone for three days and Wash was beside herself. She gripped the sides of the toilet as she heaved all of the contents of her stomach. She was trying to keep her eyes open and her body upright. She hadn't had her first cup of coffee yet, which didn't help. This was the second day in a row she had woken up and bolted straight for the toilet. As much as she was missing Nathaniel, she was glad he wasn't around to see this. She had been hoping that it might be a twenty-four hour virus, but that obviously was not the case. She made a mental note on her to do list for the day to past the infirmary. Last thing she wanted was Nathaniel coming home tomorrow to find her vomiting her guts up.

"Now, I have your blood test results and they coming up all clear in the sense that you don't have an illness-"
"Then why am I vomiting?"
"I was just about to get to that." Wash glared at Elisabeth, hoping she would take a hint and just spit it out. She had ten million other things needing to be attended to on her to do list still. Taking a hint Elisabeth continues, "You're pregnant."
Wash was not the speechless type. But in this moment she couldn't find the ability to string a couple words together. Instead she sat there stunned. "I.... err.... I.... ca..can't..be."
Elisabeth was trying to hide her amusement. "Alicia, all your test are showing a hundred percent certainty
and I can assure you there has been no mistake."

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wash was drained she took off her boots and headed straight to the shower. Her visit to the infirmary had set her back a good couple hours. She was meant to finish at seven at the latest, but seven turned into nine o'clock. Wash showered and got into her normal clothes consisting of a tank top and her comfiest pair of pants. She went towards her bedroom and stopped in front of the mirror that was just above her chest of draws. She put her hand to her stomach and it finally hit home. Realising and accepting for the first time today that she was pregnant. I feeling that she normally block out crept through her body. She was scared. She turned away from the mirror and turned to her bed for comfort.

The next morning was exactly the same as the two previous mornings before. She was hovering over the toilet emptying her stomach. Though this morning what she dreaded might occur did. She felt his presence behind her.
"Wash, are you okay?"
She knew he would catch on eventually. She had planned last night to avoid the issue until it was necessary.
"Alicia." the concern was growing in his voice.
She began to get her composure back. "Yeah, I'm Fine."
"Really? Cause that didn't look like you were fine."
She picked herself up and flushed the toilet. She tried getting past him and leaving the bathroom but he caught her around the waist and pulled her in. "How was OTG?"
He chuckles."Don't try and change the subject?" He looks into her dark eyes and holds her tighter.
"It's nothing. Just a virus. I think it might be like a twenty-four hour one or something."
"Well, if thats the case then lets get you to the infirmary to be sure."
"No, I'm fine and i've already seen Elisabeth."
"Wash, cut the crap. Whats wrong? Are you sick?" Look in his face and slight tremble in his voice nearly broke her.
"No." She took a long deep breath and dropped her head into his chest. "I'm... I'm pregnant." she muttered while tears began to streak down her face. With the gentle touch of his fingers he lifted her chin. He looked into her eyes with joy and hope.
"Everything will be okay. I love you." The words broke the strong stoic Alicia Washington. They were exactly what she needed to hear.
