The Dream Dress

Sep 17, 2008 00:22

It has been a long time since I updated my LJ.  In fact, I think it was before Otakon when I did not have Rozalin done yet.  There are many things I could talk about now, but I will save them for later.  LOOK AT MY DRESS! =D

My hard work was finally debuted at Otakon this year on Saturday.  I felt like a real princess wearing this!  I was stopped for many pictures, complimented by many people on my work, and survived a day in very uncomfortable high heels and a MASSIVE skirt!  It was incredible.

Andrew was wonderful as Adell.  He held my hand to help me keep my balance, he bought me water to make sure I kept hydrated in the summer's heat, and he waited patiently for the two hours it took me to get ready.  (Two hours and THREE people, mind you!  Thanks to pookles13  and lifeinahole27 !)

So what did the Roz cost me?  Aproximately a year of work and gathering materials, a... rather large sum of money, and a sewing machine.  For those not in the know, the sewing machine died the night before we left.  Rest in peace, WHITE.  You've been a good machine.  (I just got a Viking yesterday... more on that later, that machine is a BEAST!)

I hope you all like my dream come true costume!  Go leave me some coscom love if you've got an account... or if not, check out my pictures.  =)

>_>  PS.  Note to self... change the Lacus layout.  I'm sick of looking at it.
