Another Year
Yes, I'm still here and thriving. I had a very nice birthday weekend, off from work and spent with friends and of course, Eli. He got me a pair of Sketchers that I have long been needing and wanting, and a book of pastel paper and some hard pastels and tortillions for blending. His stepmom gave me a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble, with that I got a book called From Pencil to Pastel. Drawing is the hardest thing for me to do, and even harder is to transform a sketch into a pastel or watercolor, as I usually do my art freeform. Then Charlie and Milo and Ester and Danny came with me and Eli to Netherworld, which was awesome despite the long lines. Danny paid my way as a present, and Charlie brought a lovely big chocolate cake to my house, with a lolcat picture scanned into icing. It was so cute!!! My presents from him were the Lord of the Rings book trilogy and the Last Unicorn movie. Yay!
I think the best gift of all is love and friendship; however corny that may sound, it's true. And a few peaceful days with my true love, Eli.
