Sorry to all those US folks who aren't on the West Coast! We just started going above 80 again after a week+ of 60-70 degree weather. :P I don't even know what "summer" is anymore...
I love clothes. :( I notice I don't purchase a lot of it, though somehow it feels that way. Still, I'm disappointed in my selection of tops and dresses. I'm planning to head out to the fabric store later this week and buying a lot of knit or modal and making some nice flowy pieces with geeky twists. Ceasing the purchase of jewelry would be pretty swell too...
Speaking of such things, I am loving
this tumblr (yes I look at a lot of tumblr pages even though I don't have an account). I'm not as well endowed as most of these lovely ladies but it's definitely a body shape I like and relate to. Oddly I'm also fond of very athletic figures, like Rhona Mitra's in Doomsday. Bridget Regan is still one of my favorites though.
I think I should be completing A Dance With Dragons by this weekend. Oho! We shall see. Also I'm excited for Carice van Houten as Melisandre. "Repent!"

Beyond BioWare, I picked up Solar 2 off of XBLA, which I played for 3 hours straight. Probably won't touch it for a while, but it was worth the price to me. Good game!
So I'm still replaying Mass Effect 2 and good god why is this game so amazing... I just finished Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker recently and both of those DLC blew me away. I dislike the Hammerhead, but the story and atmosphere of Overlord (and general environment of Aite) was fantastic. The VI's stomach-churning/ear-bursting screeches made left me yelping at bits, and I pretty much started screaming at the elevator part. At the end, I shed tears.
Lair of the Shadow Broker was also great. The chase was an unexpected but welcome look into the life of "normal" denizens of the ME universe. I LOVED the fight with Tela Vasir, since I was also playing a Vanguard. I pretty much chased her around the field with Biotic Charge, following up each charge with a few shotgun blasts to the face. I don't like the word but won't lie about my yelling, "Fuck you, bitch!" At the end I managed to Charge her off the building's edge, though the following cutscene disregarded that fact.
Also enjoyed having Liara on the team again, even if she is far from my favorite character. The Shadow Broker melee cinematics were great, and the base is fun to explore (I really enjoyed the video footage and dossiers). The sight of my unromanced Shepard, sitting alone on his bed after Liara's visit to the Normandy, though... Sigh. "Come back soon." Lonely Shep... C'mon ME3...!
As a side note I somehow triggered a romance with Jack, even though I explicitly remember selecting the "No" option when asked if interested. I turned her down later, though the option sucked (she's a "lost cause?" Good god I reloaded that a couple of times) and now whenever I select her she yells, "Fuck you!"
Anyways, I'm trying to finish this run before the DAII DLC comes out, which is looking pretty good. Wish I was going to Comic Con... I also will probably do an Insanity run as my Infiltrator Shepard sometime, as well as pick up Arrival. I'm curious as to whether you get to reestablish your class again at the onset of ME3, since I might turn my male Shepard back to an Adept.
