random thoughts while procrastinating
I am writing my Star Trek big bang fic on my brand new iPad! I feel like Yeoman Rand (only brunette and without the beehive)!
The only sucky thing is that everything I've written is just . . .ugh. Why is it that for every one of my fandoms I have this insane desire to write time travel fic? I actually thought I could get away with it in Star Trek because, lets face it now, every cliche plot device is already canon. I actually think my plot is pretty good, it's just my first chapter that's the problem. There is a whole lot of Jim Kirk freaking out and not interacting with other people very much. Introspection is not all that fun to write and even less fun to read. At least I've managed to break away from my habit of writing in the present tense.
I'm just having a little bit of an anxiety attack about posting this thing for all of fandom to read, don't mind me.
I'm off to re-write this thing for the fifth time and hope that I'm not still working on the *&^%ing first chapter when October rolls around.
