I'm at the Sealed Cave in Final Fantasy IV DS. Number of storyline characters who have died so far: 3 2 4 3 4 3 4 5 4 3.
+ Character thought boxes are the best thing ever. I love Edge's constant ?! and Kain's "Please tell me all the doors aren't like that." They need to make Final Fantasy VI with these. Locke will always be "treasure hunter is NOT a THIEF" and the whole party can be like "though I think it's basically the same as KH2 Setzer."
- Why is Rosa's HP so low? It used to be about on par with Edge.
+ Where does Kain get all of his evil XP? Because despite the constant party changes I have never had to worry about levelling him up.
+ Reach ++ Edge lets him mack with the ladies in the back as well as have some semblance of durability! Thank you, augments! Also Draw Attacks ++ Counter on Cecil is magical.
+ EDWARD, WHY WERE YOU ACTUALLY USEFUL??? Hide + salve saved my ass more than once.
+ I love getting rewards for exploring the whole dungeon. It's really addicting.
+ All the recent boss battles have basically been handled by one or two people. It's too damn hard to revive people during boss fights, so, uh, Cecil and Rydia took down Golbez unassisted, Kain soloed Lugae, and Cecil and Kain fought Rubicante alone!
+ Why were the first two fiends harder than the last two fiends??
+ I love the victory poses, but Kain's looks weird if you equip him with anything other than a spear. Dark Knight Cecil's angsty glower is the best.
+ Really, I love this game more every time I play it.
- THESE BLAZE CHIMERA THINGS NEED TO DIE IN AN APPROPRIATELY IRONIC FIRE.
- EDGE, GET SOME MDEF!!
