Light music
Yesterday I finished the 2nd season of K-On!!
Definitely one of the best feel-good Anime I've seen, and I'll keep my eye out for an English subbed box-set of both seasons. As said before, it might not be for everyone, so please do not accept my views here as facts, but I really enjoyed watching this.
The setting is an average Japanese all-girls high school, and as with all Japanese high schools students are expected to join a club for after curricular activity (or even start a new club themselves), e.g. a cooking club or a sport-themed club, etc.
Ritsu, Mio and Tsumugi decide to start a "light music" club, basically a rock band. They convince Yui to join as well, although she can't actually play an instrument. From that moment on, hilarity ensues. My favorite character is Azusa (nicknamed Azunyan), a cute guitar player who joins the club halfway through the 1st season.
There's no super-natural stuff going on, and that makes it a whole lot easier to relate to the characters, IMMO.
Would definitely watch again!
In further Anime news, Bleach is progressing nicely. Although it annoys me to no end the every episode is about 50% of flash-backs, re-caps and previews, it's ridiculous! But at least there's real content half of the time now, instead of just filler material.
