a little writing talk and update

For the benefit of both people new to reading this journal or not-so-new. :) After not writing for two weeks I am back on it full-force!

Regular stuff: I pretty much have a rotisserie schedule going on with updating my three main stories right now, in this order; L&S, Pretty Shade of Grey, Ex Legis. Because I'm on the L&S turn now, I'm actually going to finish up the redone prologue of Tenebrism first, before I deal with Skiagraphia. I'm really behind on the progress I intended to make with the rewrites and so I'm trying to shift my focus back to it again, especially since the story has been down for like five months at this point. And I still fully intend to do the self-publishing thing, etcetera etcetera, so eventually I'll start focusing on that process too.

NaNoWriMo: going back to it this year, but a little differently. Firstly, I'll be posting the story as I write it, and it will be completely friends-locked to this journal only, not on fictionpress at all. So if you undertake reading it, brace yourself for a hideous draft! It's sort of a futuristic sci-fi dystopian thing, with plenty of gay but with a couple aspects I haven't written a lot of yet that could possibly turn some people off but I'll get to those warnings when the story goes up.

That stupid L&S high school AU: I'd sadly like to inform everybody that it's over 10k words right now. I'll probably be sharing more of it soon (still friends-locked) because oh my god it's just so dumb.

A question for everyone: do people want to hear about this kind of really boring shop talk? I do have my little writing bars but that's about it, because I'm never sure if people want to know what's going on behind the scenes, so to speak. I always feel it's fair to keep people updated on when things are likely to be finished so that it's not a game of constant check-backs, but I also don't want to just babble on foreverand bore people to death.

upcoming stuff, this is why i don't write au, light and shadow series, writing, updates, nanowrimo
