I am enjoying this new novella very much: both the characters and the plot. I'm rather keen on steampunk and the world you have created here, especialy the names, such as Bottleplate and Gaskets End.

I find the german mildly frustrating because I don't speak it and am still toying with the idea of trying to guess whilst reading, or breaking off to punch the dialogue into a translator. So far, guessing is winning.

Thank you! I've been wanting to get some steampunk out for a long time so I'm glad it's interesting. :)

German shows up through the whole thing, although it's never going to be necessary to understanding any key plot/character things and most of it should be fairly clear from context, it should also be easy enough to get translations for if you want. :)

Wow lucky me. I only just finished the first chapter and you've already got the second one up. It's like christmas!

I am super tired now, as it's 1am, but I couldn't read and run. I love Ezra and Emery already, the chemistry is really, really good. The plot is engaging, the details/world building is perfect. The whole thing is just.... well... really really good. I like the pace, the tone, the steampunk. Everything. Bed time for me now, but I hope we see more of this soon.

Haha. :) But it'll probably a pretty long time before more goes up! So much stuff to work on.

I love the new developments, and I'm really enjoying watching the trust develop between Ezra and Emery. This is keeping me on the edge of my seat, and I'm looking forward to seeing how things are going to develop. Thanks.

It's always awesome to read well written, intriguing steampunk. As phaeby said, the entire thing is good. I'm looking forward to reading more.
